Focus on human,
social changes, and
user experience design.
I'm a Product designer with a strong user research and information science background. When it comes to the designs, I defined myself as an impact-driven and detail-oriented designer that values both the process and the outcomes. As my deep caring for social changes, I'm passionate about delivering inclusive & delightful experiences to solve problems from a user-centric perspective. I'm open to embracing different design experiments in my career!
While I was an exchange student in Sweden, I took the course of human-computer interaction, which happened to open my path to user experience design. During the course, I conducted a student project to optimize an official site of a local second-hand store. It's my first time to interview customers and even created a prototype on my own. I found it interesting to come out a complete different solution in the end based on the insights we found from customers. Since then, I've been fascinated of human-centered design, starting to conduct more design projects with different topics or industries. Lastly, I decided to grow as a designer for my career to solve more problems in creative and digital practices to bring more impacts to the society.
Photography is one of my favorite way to express my feelings, especially using films camera. Its unexpected effects and the time to wait for it to be developed grant photos a special meaning. More importantly, I enjoy sharing my photos with others, which gives the photos different interpretations.
Besides, I care about social issues a lot, such as gender equality, poverty and criminal injustice. In 2019, my friend and I initiated a non-profit organization - People in the Darkroom, to advocate our mission to help prison-leavers to adapt to the society easier. Throughout the serving experiences, I have not only learned how to empathize people different from us deeply but also gained a sense of achievement. (will definitely keep doing it!)
